Voters approve budget; elect Costin and Sanchez to BOE

Central Valley School District voters went to polls on Tuesday, May 19, and approved the district’s proposed 2026-27 school budget. The budget passed with 85 percent in favor. Voters also elected Travis Costin and Jason Sanchez to three-year terms to the Board of Education. 
The $63,998,398 budget increases spending by 2.56 percent or $1,600,000 over the current year and results in a $190,146 increase in the tax levy.
The final count was:

  • Yes— 216
  • No— 38
Voters elected Travis Costin and Jason Sanchez to the Board of Education. The final count for each candidate was:
  • Travis Costin – 211
  • Jason Sanchez – 197
