Fisher Field Day Updates
Good afternoon Fisher families.
With our Field Day activities a week away, I wanted to review a few items to make the event a fun, safe, and efficient one for everyone involved.
Our Field Day will take place at the Lower Tolpa Field Monday June 15th, with a rain date of Wednesday June 17th. If the change to the 17th is to take place, a parentsquare message will go out Sunday evening June 16th. NO MESSAGE MEANS WE ARE A GO FOR THE 15th. Be sure to send your student(s) with water for hydration and have them sent to school already sun screened.
We begin the games at approximately 10am. Please park in the Lower Tolpa parking lot, and be seated in the HOME BLEACHERS ONLY the following way:
PK parents sit in the near-side seats of the bleachers (PK students nearest the scoreboard).
K parents sit in the middle seats of the bleachers (K students in the middle row of games).
1st parents sit in the far-side seats of the bleachers (1st students nearest the softball field).
PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS NO SEATING IN THE VISITORS BLEACHERS, AND THAT ALL PARENTS AND GUESTS MUST REMAIN IN THE BLEACHERS DURING THE GAMES. THERE WILL BE NO PARENTS STANDING AT THE FENCELINE- THIS IS TO HELP WITH KEEPING STUDENTS ENJOYING THEMSELVES AND NOT WANTING TO IMMEDIATELY LEAVE WITH MOM AND DAD.
If parents are taking their student(s) home after the conclusion of the games, I will have three tables (PK, K, and 1st) set up adjacent to the blue shed for parents to complete the dismissal check out and be reunited with their student(s). Students will be brought by classroom teachers to the check out tables for proper reunification. STUDENTS WILL NOT BE RELEASED TO PARENTS UNTIL THE STUDENT IS PROPERLY CHECKED OUT.
Safely exit the parking lot as there will be lots of folks moving around the area.
I truly am grateful for the parent participation in this annual event at Fisher. I appreciate your adherence to the above protocols to ensure our students remain safe, happy, and focused on the fun activities Coach McKinley and Coach Prue have lined up for them.
Looking forward to seeing you all!
Mr. Murphy
