Halloween Parade Information
Good afternoon Parents,
Below is a message that you child is bringing home to you this afternoon pertaining to the upcoming Halloween Parade this Friday October 30th.
Mr. Murphy
Dear Fisher Families:
We are excited to be having our Halloween Parade this Friday, October 30th. We will begin our parade with the First graders walking from the building to the Lower Tolpa Field at 12:30pm. The Kindergarteners will parade down at approximately 12:45, with the PK students coming down around 1pm. Students will enter the field through the gate near the scoreboard, stop at the various stations to pick up their goodies, and exit the field through the gate near the bleachers. We invite all parents to come and watch the parade, but I must ask that parents SIT in the bleachers to watch. No stopping for pictures will be allowed so that the parade lines can continue to move through the stations smoothly.
With that being said, please adhere to the costume rules below for the day itself.
ALL students must wear regular school outfits to school. Costumes must be brought in a bag with their name on it to school. This is to ensure a safe arrival.
Teachers will help them get their costumes on but keep in mind we have several children and only one teacher….have them PRACTICE putting their costumes on!
Costumes cannot include face paint or weapons. Masks will be permitted to be worn only during the field portion of the parade.
Be careful as to what props or pieces you are sending in as we are not responsible for lost, broken or stained costumes.
We will be walking down to lower Tolpa, using the stairs. Please make sure your child can walk in their costume.
Students will be changed back into their regular school outfits for dismissal, so again please have their costumes in a marked bag so nothing is lost and everything makes it home.
I will be monitoring the weather as this is an outdoor event, and will make any determination of changing the parade to an indoor event by Thursday afternoon. If the event is changed to an indoor parade, I am sorry but parents will not be permitted inside the building to watch the parade. As of now the weather looks good for Friday afternoon.
Please contact your student's teacher if you have any questions. We are looking forward to the fun on Friday!
